I tried my best at a purely black and white picture with more cell-style shading rather than blending because I figured it would be good practice. However since I have limited grey markers I worried that the characters would fad into the background so I had to add some color Funny enough though when I scanned it it turned out nice and dark anyways! Ther only other thing that had color was their eyes but I don't think it shows as well when scanned sorry! I'll try better next time! (Sorry they look so pale!)
Characters: Shin (Center), and the others are my two elves I was trying to develop a while back, still unsure if I'll use them, the girl got a little redesigned but I suppose we shall see. Media: Sakura pigment liner (I think) and Prismacolor markers. Time: approx. 4 hours
Making them look pale adds affect to the whole 'it's dark around us', so it's all good ><' I like the boy elf, he looks hot. ^_^ Heh heh heh
Shin looks a little depressed, probably since he doesn't have his paper with him ^_^ And I really like the girl's hair- it is oh so pretty. Her out fit kinda reminds me of Aeris with the jacket and long dress ><' Which also look good

O_O It does?! ;_; That's scary! Don't worry no mafia! xDDD Actually I was inspired by a story my friend and I have going but that is more like action adventure, there are bad guys but no mafia
lol thanks for the comment, wow so detailed! Actually, he does, little tiny shuriken in his hand But at the time I was having a hard time drawing so I'm not surprised he turned out that way but I think it set the mood for the picture anyways. xDDD It's funny you say that because I couldn't find any how to color black stuff, especially more shiny fabrics so I was like wait... *gets matrix cover* mwaha! There we go. So if ever you need reference for shading dark or white leathery clothes, the matrix is good for that!
Really cool! I like how their each characterized so differently! I'm quite curious to know more about them. And I love the atmosphere the picture gives. Great job!
Coloring in markers is hard! I tried with my Copics for the first time this week. I...don't think I did so well. xD;;

Reall? You're the second person to be curious... I really should figure out a way to give such info on characters... any suggestions?
Yes markers are very hard! I think it took me dozens of pictures to get anything half decent. ;_; And they would always bleed over my lines! Good luck with them though, they are lots of fun, such rich color! ^_^
Well, one good way to do it is to draw the characters more often, and tell us little bits about them in the comments. xDD (HaHA! My plot to make you draw more, REVEALED! <.<; )
I do like the look I got with the markers. I just need to have the confidence to keep trying with them.
Sorry for the late reply, homework ate me again.
